Band

 I always admired music ever since i was little. Kakak-kakak ku selalu memainkan lagu, dan instrumen seperti gitar, dan piano. 

Setelah itu, aku jadi terinspirasi untuk memain instrumen. Dulu, 2019-2020 aku sempet les piano, tapi ga di lanjutin karena Covid-19. Setelah Covid-19 sudah mulai memudar, aku naik kelas 7.

Aku SMP di SMP Negeri 11 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Aku bersyukur masuk ke SMP ini, aku ketemu teman teman yang baik, dan guru guru yang seru. Kelas 7 semester 1, guru seni ku bernama Bu Sri. Bu Sri hanya mengajarku selama beberapa minggu, karena pensiun.

Setelah itu guru seninya diganti menjadi Pak Landi :). Pak Landi guru terwise, terseru, paling mengerti, pokoknya terterter. Aku pertama kali ketemu pak Landi itu sebelum Bu Sri pensiun. Waktu itu aku sedang ekskul musik, dan gurunya pak Landi. The first time we met, he saw my potential. I was technically his top student (anjay). 

After being excited for being noticed by a teacher, i kept trying harder, who knows what the future has for me?? Tiba tiba.. A random day in october, i got a phone call from Pak Landi. "Nai, kamu bapak masukkin band ya." He said. I was overjoyed, I always wanted to shred guitar on the stage. He explained more about the band, and told me that this week we were going to perform. We named the band Elbaz Band. The group member had Tasya, Gaby, and Tristan as the singer, Zaskya as the rhythm guitarist (now a bassist), Zeta as the bassist (now a rhythm guitarist, Nadia as the keyboardist, Kekei as the drummer, Me as the Lead Guitarist, meaning I get to play the solo in every song, and last but not least, Pak Landi as our coach.

Me and the band practiced for 3 days, kita latihan lagu Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi, and a song the judge made called Biar Mantan Tau. Our chemistry was perfect.

 October 8, D-day. It was a Sunday. Kita janjian kumpul di sekolah pagi pagi to get our make up done. Fortunately, One of our parents was a MUA.

Heres a photo of me and Gaby getting ready. After everyone was ready, we went to the place where the festival was. We got to the place and we waited for our turn. The other bands were so cool, i was scared to lose. 

And then, it was our turn. We played the song just like we practiced. Abis perform dan turun panggung, kita siap siapin barang barangnya dan di masukin ke mobil biar aman. It was time to wait for the announcement of who won.

Announcement time, the MC started the announcement from 3rd, then 2nd, then 1st. "Juara ke tiga...." me and the others held eachothers hand. "ELBAZ BAND!!!" I couldnt believe it, our first time performing, and we won 3rd place. Me and the others were overjoyed, even Pak Landi was happy.

"Bapak ga nyangka, baru kali ini bapak tampil pertama kali, langsung bisa top 3. Kalian hebat, anak anak bapak ini." He said to us. 

And that was our first festival together. After that festival, we got into more and more festivals. Our biggest achievement is Tangsel Sejiwa, Tangerang selatan ulang tahun and kita ngiringin lagu di festival tersebut. We used the same stage The Changcuters were going to use. 

You can see in the background we were playing UNO to cope with so we dont panic on stage. 

Setelah itu, Elbaz Band mulai booming. Kepala Sekolah kita, Pak Yantho menyebar luaskan nama baik Elbaz Band karena kita sering menang. Elbaz Band sampai ke telinga Pak Heru, ketua dinas pariwisata. Akhirnya kita sering diajak untuk manggung di festival festival yang diadakan mereka.
